What Korean martial arts are there?

Hwarang-Do (the oldest and more kicks then all the other Korean Arts), Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do (Soo Bahk Do), Hapkido, Taekyon.

There was a handful of offspring Korean Systems that was "here today and gone tomorrow" in the 1950s %26amp; '60s...Shin Sool, Bi Sool, Yu Kwon Sool and a few others.

NOTE: There are over 4,000 offensive %26amp; defensive techniques in the Korean Art of Hwa Rang Do and witch by the way is more then 1800 years old.

I have studied and taught Korean Arts for more then 15 years. I hope this was helpful.

What Korean martial arts are there?
Korean martial arts, referred to in Korean as Musul (무술 hanja: 武術) or Muye (무예 hanja:武藝), are the various martial arts that originated or were modified in Korea. The most famous Korean martial arts in the West are perhaps Taekwondo and Hapkido, although there has been a revival of the bladed arts of Korean swords and swordsmanship as well as an interest in Korean knives and knife-fighting as well as the revival of archery on foot and on horse-back. The complexity of the Korean martial arts world and its ever-increasing schools rising from obscurity make interesting study.
Reply:there are so many eg hand made doors
Reply:Tae kwon do, tang soo do, soo bahk do , moo duk kwan, hapkido, yudo, iaido, and tae kyon.

Those are the only ones I could remember, but I'm sure there are a couple more.
Reply:The major styles are Tae Kwon Do (The Way of the Foot %26amp; Hand) %26amp; its twin Tang Soo Do (The Way of the Edge of the Hand or The Way of the Hand of Tang) which are striking styles emphasizing foot techniques. %26amp; Hapkido (The Way of Spirit Unification) which are grappling styles. There is also the original Korean art of Tae Kyun (Focused Kicking) which is 1 of ther 2 oldes Asian MA I know of. There are also some weapons styles. TKD/ TSD %26amp; HKD are by far the most popular Korean Arts.
Reply:several ,Tae-Kwon-Do,Tang-Soo-Do,Kook-Sool-Won. i believe they are all derived from TyKon an earlier more ancient fighting system. if your interested you should do your own research on the net like anyone else.
Reply:Seem sI am vastly under qualified to answer your question judging from the answers above; my advice don't listen to I don't know as much as I thought I did
